TPS2H160-Q1: Max PWM Frequency allowed on the INx pin of the driver

Hi,

What is the max PWM frequency allowed on the INx pin of the TPS2H160-Q1 driver? Can I give a frequency of 38 kHz on the INx pin from my MCU?

Hello Sohil,

High side switches are not able to turn on/off fast enough to use a 38 KHz signal on the IN pin; however, low-side switches can handle much higher switching frequencies.

Thanks Kalin. However what is the max frequency then recommended by TI on this driver? I dint find any data w.r.t this in the datasheet.

Hello Sohil,

The maximum recommended is 400 Hz, but the limitation is based on the timing specification in the datasheet for turn on and turn off.
