BQ24170: Maximum termination time

The electrical characteristics calls for a max fast charge termination time of 10 Hours. We have a 120AH pack that would require ~ 30 Hours charge time. Can the device be set to allow 30 Hours fast charge (~ 4A) by setting the safety timer cap on TTC to ~ 330nF? What limits the charge time to 10 Hours?

    Steve,

    Unfortunately, the timer is limited by its design and this cannot be truly overcome. The device cannot be set to 30 hrs as it exceeds the 10 hr maximum.

    However, you could work around this by toggling ISET. Set to less than 40 mV to disable charge and set above 120 mV to enable charge.
