Hello,
I'm having trouble finding information on the LM117K. I see there are 3 parts listed: LM117K, LM117K Steel, and LM117K Steel/NOPB. What I'd like to know is the difference between these versions?
Also, other than case package and thermal, what are the differences between LM117H and LM117K
Thanks.
Keith,
Regarding the differences between LM117K, LM117K STEEL, and LM117K STEEL/NOPB; the LM117K and LM117K STEEL are identical while the LM117K STEEL/NOPB offers a different lead finish compared to the other 2 devices (lead finish is SnAgCu while the LM117K and LM117K STEEL devices have a lead finish of SnPb). This is why is have the NOPB designator at the end (stands for no lead in the material content).
For the difference between LM117H and LM117K, the only other difference aside from what you pointed out (package and thermals) is the current limit specification. You can see page 7 of the datasheet for the details.
