UCD90160A: fail to execute program code when removed from the Fusion Digital Power Designer GUI

Part Number: UCD90160A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD90160

I know this is an old problem, well discussed in the forum. However, it seems the newer version of Fusion Digital GUI does not offer the same options of the past to restore the checksum in the device. Can you offer some advice? I am using version 7.3.1.

As a background, this customer migrated from the UCD90160 (non-A) into UCD90160A with the same circuit and PCB. The older device works, the UCD90160A shows this issue of not running without the GUI.

Any insight is appreciated!

Thank you!

  • Hello

Could you please share the screen short of the issue? From what described, it is hard to understand what the problem is.

    Regards

    Yihe

  • For the record: the issue was indeed with the checksum of the device. The UCD90160A is supposed to have program checksum of 0x0031DBA8. The procedure is to scan de the device ROM, calculate and enter the correct checksum. If the scanning process does not reveal 0x0031DBA8, stop, or the device my render unusable.
