Hi TI,

Can you please share where can I get BQ298015 battery protection IC, It is not available in digikey or mouser. Datasheet specifies, "ContactTI for orderable device information."

    Hi Vishwanath,

    This device was created as a custom configuration for a customer, and it was never released to ti.com. We may eventually release it publicly, but right now I would advise you select a different configuration and continue to check back online to see if it is released.

    Dear Shawn,

    We are using some china's 3.7V 400mAH Li-Po batteries (some 1000 numbers) which comes with their own battery protection circuit. While testing we observed it is not shutting down the battery even if battery goes 1.5V below. Since it is very critical and dangerous, we are going for a solution from TI protection ICs. We want 2.8V under voltage and shut down capabilities with temperature protection.

    As you said, previously we selected BQ298010 which has 2.9V UVP which can suit to our design, but OT feature is disabled.

    Please can you suggest us any other protection ICs in TI catalog.

    Hi Vishwanath,

    The other device which may be worth looking at is the BQ2970. It is our other 1S protector.

    Hi Shawn,

    BQ2970 was our earlier option. Since it doesn't has shut capability we decided to look another. We will go for BQ298010.
