Hello to TI support team ,

     1. Is it possible use IC BQ20Z655DBTR-R1 instaed of  BQ20Z65DBTR-R1  on PCB ( pin out , case ) ?

     2. Is it possible use dfi file  from BQ20Z65DBTR-R1  for  BQ20Z655DBTR-R1 without any change  ?

    Hello Alex,

    The pinouts should be the same for both gauges, The same DFI file will not work with both since the memory maps will be different in each gauge.

    Hello Wyatt Keller ,

           Thank you for your  quick response ,

              Can you please make transfer for dfi file for us from bq20z65 to bq20z655-r1 , or send some dedicated SW for converting  ? to avoid make new dfi again  ,  At 2017 TI  helped me with converting srec from 40z50 to 40z50-r1 .

    Hello Alex,

    With the newer gauges we have updaters that can help transfer DF parameters between firmware versions, but for the older gauges usng DFI files we don't have a tool. It may be quickest to reference your current configuration and reprogram the new gauge using the old parameters.
