BQ40Z50-R2: Accommodating a battery with no close matching ChemID

I'm looking at using a cell that has no close matching cell ID.

I've tried several times to utilize the matching software with no luck.

Is there a way to accommodate this situation with the BQ40Z50-R2 to make sure that the state trackers still operate correctly?

Also due to limitations with my sponsor I am unable to send cells to TI for characterization.

My sponsor currently has a preference towards the IMpedance Track gauging algorithms, is there a way to modify the parameters by hand in order to get the learning cycle to work correctly?

Additionally, I am not currently allowed to upload a data file in order to generate a CEDV file.

No, unfortunately there's no good way to do that.

Please use bq4050.

Okay.

We'll see if CEDV is capable of working correctly. The model that CEDV is based on doesn't play nice with the battery and it has an a fairly extreme rate sensitivity so we were at least hoping to mitigate that with the IT algorithm. Self-Discharge is also a relatively large issue.

Back to the next question, is there a way to get the CEDV parameters without uploading test data?
