Hi,

I am planning a demo to demonstrate one of my products which has industry leading quiescent, I want to generate the energy from Solar panels, and rather than buy all the pieces from Ebay, would like to construct the whole system with TI devices, including the Battery Pack itself, which would be 12Volts (Approximately) to simulate a Car battery voltage. I am looking at the BQ76952, it looks like it has the right number of cell count, is this the best one for such a project ?

Hi Martin,

The BQ76952 is the latest industrial battery monitor for up to 16S (the BQ76942 is a 10S version of the same device and will be going to production in the next few weeks). It depends on what functionality you need from the battery IC. The battery monitor provides many protections and reports voltage, current, and temperature to an MCU.
