hi TI expert,

My customer would like to use LM5046 to replace LM5045 for phase shifted request.

I checked the datasheet they are pin to pin comparable.

Does LM5046 can replace LM5045 without any BOM changed?

Hi,

I suggest you review your design with LM5046 specs to make sure all design parameter values for LM5045 are adequate for LM5046.

On the surface, it looks like there should be no issues, but I am looking into this. Hopefully, I will have a clearer answer tomorrow.

I got the reference design of LM5045, please refer the attached file.

Please help to check it, could I use LM5046 to replace it directly.

if there is change other component, please let me know.

Hi Jin,

In comparing the EVM's, the only change is RD1 from 30.1K to 20K. It is not clear why this change was made as it sets the delay between the synchronous rectifier and the rising edge of HO2/LO1 and HO1/LO2. It is not clear why this value change was made.
