Hi Experts,
My customer want to use BQ79616-Q1 in their BMS system. Unlike typical design, they want to power the device from an external power source (such as an external 12V power.) The reason is the battery voltage may possibly drop down to 0V. The monitor circuit must work at this condition.
My question is Can this device be operated at this condition? (be powered from external power supply and monitoring 0V battery)
