Hello team,

I have a question about 2xIOL sequence trigger in TPS26631.
What is the trigger for starting the tCB(dly) timer of 2xIOL period? (by load current threshold level?)

Hi Sawamoto,

Load current magnitude is the trigger point for starting the tCB(dly) timer.

If the load current exceeds IOL, then the tCB(dly), 25.5 msec (typical) timer starts. During this time the device will pass through the over current demanded by the load not more than 2 x IOL above which the device will regulate at 2 x IOL.

Allow me to add one more question.
In case of continuous spike load comes in short interval, is the tCB(dly) timer refreshed?
(e.g. 10us-8A short pulse comes after 100us)

Hi Sawamoto,

Yes, the timer gets refreshed if the current drops below IOL before tCB(dly) timer expires.
