UCC29002: How to connect the pins LS, V+, V- in two boards runs in parallel mode

Part Number: UCC29002

Sir,

We are using UCC29002 Load share controller in one of our Power supply board. Figure 6 in datasheet is taken as reference to design.

Our application requirement is individual power supply boards are to be operated in parallel mode to increase the power output. Our power supply board will provide 12V/60A(720W) .To increase the Power output two power supply board outputs will be paralleled.

In this case, Shall we connect individual power supply boards output pins of LS, V+, V- respectively in backplane PCB? Will it work?

  • Hello,

You should need one UCC29002 per supply per figure 6.  Both circuits will have a common LS connection.

The following link will bring you to an excel design tool that will help you setup the IC.
