LM27762: Capacitor Selection

Hi team,
The datasheet of LM27762 suggests using a 10uF, 10V, 0402 case capacitor as Ccp.
What difference does it make if I use a 10uF, 16V, 0805 case X7R capacitor?.
Also, the datasheet of LM2775Q suggests a 0402 case style 10uF, 10V rating X7R capacitor at its input and output capacitor at its input and output.
But we are using a 16V capacitor with the case style 0805, will it affect the performance?.

Hi Shibin,

The bigger the size of the capacitor of the same value, the higher will be its parasitic inductance.

The effect is usually small, but at higher frequencies parasitic play bigger role and thus the difference in performance will be bigger.

Our recommendations are specified in the datasheet but the choice is of course yours based on the application requirements.

Sorry for replying late.
We cannot find a capacitor with 10uF, 10V, 0402 case, so we are using a 0805 case believing it will not affect the performance.
