Continuing from our conversation in the previous threads (related question) I was able to:
1.) get the BQ34Z100-G1 gauge/EVM calibrated correctly, and
2.) get the CHEMID configured [chosen from the extensive list since I have the exact model number matched with datasheet from Panasonic].
Currently I want to run feasibility test only on a 1S Li-ion battery cell using the BQ34Z100EVM.
3.) Now to get the gauge 'Learned' I have already gone through the process in the PDF & video link shared by you. I also referred to this thread to complete the learning cycle only using the < relax-discharge-relax > process only, since can only charge externally. My internal charger (BQ24610EVM) is having some problems. Technically, it should be possible to do it this way.
In my case in learning, I can see the flags/registers updating correctly (for eg. OCVTAKEN is set after relaxation period, RUP_DIS gets cleared when discharging, Grid number get counted up during discharge, again relax period). I also notice the FullChargeCapacity estimate get updated from time to time in the process.
But I never notice new values being updated in the Ra tables. My Qmax cell0 remains set at 3200mAh and doesn't update after OCV is taken by gauge.
Following this method technically my UpdateStatus should have gone from 05 to 06 but it remains at 05.
Why could this be happening and how could I resolve it?
