lm5060 applied circuit, ic burned out


Order of operation

1. Input voltage 24v

2. Switch on -> off

3. ic burnout (with smoke)


Need to add circuit protection?

    Is the failure happened during turn-OFF ?

    What is the capacitance at the output of LM5060 ?

     ->   It was happened turn-on(smoke)

           I think it breaks when off and smokes when i turn it on again

     

    What is the capacitance at the output of LM5060 ?

    ->  There is no capacitor at the lm5060 output stage,

          it is directly connected to the DCDC converter.

         
          DCDC Converter specification

          WRA2412S-3WR2 (MORNSUN)

          WRB2405S-3WR2 (MORNSUN)

     


         When the input voltage is 9V with the same circuit, the problem did not appear.

    Hi Kim,

    Thanks for the details

    Can you share test waveforms during turn on and turn off events. Include Vin, Vout, Gate, fet current in the test waveforms.
