Hi
Is there any maxim sink/source current and maxim operating voltage for COMP1 and COMP5 PIN of TPS65311?
Can not find them in thedatasheet.

Hi,
There is no direct specification for this parameter in the datasheet, but in the test condition, typical sink/source current is mentioned. As long as you follow the datasheet equations for calculating the compensation components, it should be fine. And we recommend to keep the maximum compensation resistor to 16k ohm. Please refer to the below application note.

Hi,
Somehow the snapshot i attached in the above post showing the sink/source current (5uA) is not visible. So, sending again.

Hi,
Sorry, that snapshot is not visible again. Please refer to the datasheet "ERROR AMPLIFIER (OTA) FOR BUCK CONTROLLERS AND BOOST CONVERTER" Test Conditions tab in the datasheet electrical characteristics table. COMP voltage will vary depending on the load current and min/max voltage is not specified for this pin during normal operation. But Absolute Maximum Ratings table provides the min/max voltage rating for these pins.

Hi Krishnamurthy
Thank you for your quick reply. Indeed i want to know the COMP voltage or current during normal operation. Is it possible to get this information?
Not the Absolute Maximum rating for this pin.
Hi,
Can you please let me know why do you need this information? Typically, COMP voltage is around 1V under no load conditions and depending on the load current, it can vary from 1.7V (positive current limit) to 0.6V (negative current limit).

Murthy
Hi
That is what i need.Thank you.
To evaluate the compensation resistor and capacitor power rating.
