Dear all:

We are considering applying "Fusion Digial Power Studio" to the LLC resonant DC-DC converter using the control board of "UCD3138ACCEVM149".

TI-Japan's PIC asked the required functions (1)-(7) to the E2E and told us to check the parameters in "Configure" part.

1)Synchronous rectification control. control the driver for UCD7138.
2)Over current and voltage drop detection, and Trip which stops PWM and automatically recover.
3)Over voltage detection.
4)Soft-Start time control. they would like to change the time.
5)Burst control with no load or light load.
6)the resolution change for PFM switching
7)Dead time resolution and accuracy

Please let us know more about the following:
2) Over current response: IOUT_OC_FAULT_RESPONSE -> How to set the value of OUT_OC_UV_FAULT_LIMIT?

5) Burst control: What parameters should be set?
1) Synchronous rectification: SR State -> What can we do in this state?

Hello, you cannot use UCD3138ACCEVM149 to evaluate LLC converter, it is just a control card. To evaluate LLC, you need to get UCD3138ALLCEVM150

Hello, the OUT_OC_UV_FAULT_LIMIT is defined at VOUT_UV_FAULT_LIMIT

I didn't find there is a parameter called "SR State". There is only one parameter called "SR_ON", which is used to turn on/off SR.

If you want to know more about UCD7138, please read the datasheet and application note:

I think it is necessary to set at least the following conditions.

Hello, the burst mode threshold is configured through "LIGHT_LOAD_CONFIG" in the "Configure" tab. For your other questions, I will ask the author of the LLC code to help.

Hello Masahiko Hirokawa,

The parameters of "LIGHT_LOAD_CONFIG" command are:

ll_turn_on_thresh,

ll_turn_off_thresh

and ll_en.

ll_turn_on_thresh is the value that is getting compared with the output of the digital PID filter in UCD3138 to determine when the burst/LL mode will get active.

ll_turn_off_thresh is the value that is getting compared with the output of the digital PID filter in UCD3138 to determine when the burst/LL mode will stop to be active.

ll_en will turn the light load mode on or off manually.

Please read the light load mode chapter in the UCD3138 TRM (Technical reference manual) to get familiar with the configuration register accordingly.
