TPS2492: Current sensing and current limit

Please refer layout example in https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slvuag2/slvuag2.pdf  and https://e2e.ti.com/blogs_/b/powerhouse/archive/2014/10/30/choosing-the-right-sense-resistor-layout for reference.

Any hot-swap controller takes few micro seconds to interrupt the short-circuit current. With in this internal, the short circuit current raises to very large value and the magnitude is decided by the impedance of the path.

Please share the filled up design calculator for review. The design calculator is available under product folder.

1. slvuag2.pdf is for TPS24772. With TPS2492, is it the same way to incorporate multiple current sense resistors?

    slvuag2.pdf, Figure 10: there should be a trace connection to RSNS2 left terminal, right?

2. My short-circuit test shows the following TPS2492 behavior, is it right?
          a) Short-circuit on output
          b) TPS2492 turns off the external MOSFET.
          c) TPS2492 tries to turn on the external MOSFET, and enters power limit mode.
          d) TPS2492 turns off the external MOSFET permanently.

1A) Yes, you can do the same way for any hot-swap controllers. Correct, connection is missing in RSNS2 at the left terminal.

2A) The behavior is correct. Please provide test waveform (GATE, vout, timer, input current) to confirm.

For the output short-circuit behavior, I thought TPS2492 would latch off instead restart, right?

What are the circumstances that TPS2492 would try to restart and for how many times?
