TPS65916: Powerhold doesn't work

Hello team,

GPIO_5 is set at POWERHOLD and DEV_ON is set at 0h.
Following picture shows that RESET_OUT is still high though POWERHOLD become low but RESET_OUT become low when power is off.

Why this IC don't be ACT2OFF mode when POWERHOLD is set at low?
I would appreciate if you share your thoughts how POWERHOLD can work.

Hello,

There may be another ON request present (Table 5-1 in the datasheet). Most likely would be a pending interrupt - can you check whether there are any interrupts pending?

Thanks for the comment.

PWRON is unused so Part of interrupts may affect to the POWERHOLD operation.
I will check it if POWERHOLD works normally by masking Part of interrupts.

Another question, how can they valid POWERHOLD of OFF requests?
They are confused which bit should be masked in the table6 of datasheet.

Hello,

To mask the interrupts, the INTx_MASK registers should be used. They can be found in the register map:www.ti.com/.../slvuaw0

Note: INT1_MASK has address = 211h which translates to I2C address 0x59, register address 0x11 for example (page 2 = 0x59)

They may still have to clear them after masking them - this is done in the INTx_STATUS registers (write '1' to clear)
