Hello all,
I have another question about the priority power mux. Again it is in consideration of power usage of specific pins as to the range of their values.
I notice that in a priority configuration where IN1 is a AC derived DC source and IN2 is a battery backup that the output of the status line is a low level when IN2 is active.
This creates and issue since the power consumed for the status pull up would be coming off the battery.
The TPS2121 spec sheet under recommended operating conditions shows a suggested range of 6K to 20K for the ST pin pull up. That's a lot of power over a period of time.
Now further in the data sheet the ST pin leakage is spec'd at -0.1 to 0.1 uA min/max.
Based on this low leakage current, what is the reason for a limited low range of resistance for the ST pin pull up of 6K to 20K.
Seems to me that you should be able to use a 100k without an issue.
Thanks in advance for any help.
