LM5165: LM5165Y - internal feedback resistor values

Part Number: LM5165

LM5165Y has a fixed output of 3.3V due to the internal trimmed feedback resistor divider. I'd like to "trim" the output voltage of LM5165Yto 3.6V by a resistor added between Vout and FB. For this purpose I need to know at least the value of R1 in the feedback. This value is not documented. The known value would save my time by skipping experiments.

Thanks!

  • Hi Igor,

The internal high-side feedback resistor is normally around 1M ohm range, the divider ratio of Rfb-top over Rfb_bottom is trimmed accurately but the Rfb_top or Rfb_bottom may have big tolerance, the inside resistor has different temperature coefficient from external one, for these reasons it's not suggested to use external resistor to modify output of fixed version.

    LM5165 has output adjustable version.
