Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ40Z50-R2, BQEVSW
We are currently looking at refreshing a product line and currently it is based on the BQ20Z655-R1. However, whilst reviewing the design changes we were wondering what the positives/negatives would be to moving to a newer chip such as the BQ40Z50-R2.
One of the concerns with the BQ20Z655 is that it is not supported in Battery Management Studio, so are relying on bqEVSW and the EV2300, which is now obsolete.
However, I am equally interested in what the technical differences are, as they seem to broadly be similar apart from a slight variation in min/max pack capacity.
