Hi Experts:

I have two question related to the tps2493's application.

1) If floating the pin3 ,  the external FET will be turned off in the case of overcurrent through the FET ?

2) if the pin3 is connected like the below picture,   in the case of the overcurrent through the FET , the TPS2493 will adjust the FET into the variable resistance region instead of turning off?

    Hi Jason,

    1A) Yes

    2A) the device operates in power limit mode for a duration set by the fault timer.

    Can you share the filled up design calculator for review. Any issue at the customer end ?
