BQ24610: STAT1 and STAT2 always high

Part Number: BQ24610

Hello,

I have a BQ24610 integrated in one PCB.

All seems to be ok (VCC is 3V3 and PG is 0V indicating power good). But STAT1 and STAT2 are always high (3V3), and battery is not connected to the output (battery absent).

What is happening? Some idea?

Any help or comment will be very appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Luis

  • Hi Luis,

STAT1 and STAT2 indicate a fault so I would check for input overvoltage, safety timer expiration, TS fault. With regards to battery absent detection, when there is no battery, please capture VCC, SRN, PH so we can check that the detection scheme is happening correctly.

  • Hello Kedar,

Thank you very much. I finally solved my doubt. In the Datasheet, OFF indicates that the open-drain transistor is turned off. Then, High value is STAT OFF and low value is STAT ON. The results obtained were fine.

    Thank you again and regards.
