TPS61288: 3.4V~4.2V --> 7.4V/6A application

Hello expert,

My customer has a Boost application, condition as below. They would like to use TPS61288 for this application. But input peak current might be reach 15A current limit if we use 90% for efficiency with minimum input voltage. May I know if you can help to double check the output power and suitable suggestion on this case? Thanks a lot!!

Condition:

Vin=3.4V~4.2V

Vout=7.4V

Iout=peak 6A, nominal 3A~4A

Hi Ann,

Not sure the detailed application, if the peak power duration is not long, such as in the audio application, by adding a 470uF-2x470uF EL cap at the output side, the TPS61288 should be OK.
