BQ24296: DCDC behavior out of charging temperature

Hello Support team,

At low or high temperature like -20degC or 55degC, bq24296 stop charging. Under this condition, please show how bq24296 behave.

*AC adaptor exist

Does this means that bq24296 turn off BATFET only, but, bq24296 can keep power supply to SYS from VBUS? Or does bq24296 stop power supply to sys, too?

*Supplement mode without AC adaptor

Can bq24296 supply power to SYS from battery, keeping BATFET on?

Koji,

BATFET can only be turned off by setting REG07[5] (BATFET_DISABLE) bit. If valid VBUS is present, VBUS will support SYS when BATFET is off.

Yes. Please refer to 9.3.1.2 Power Up from Battery without DC Source.
