BQ40Z80EVM-020: Connections with 6S LiPo Battery Pack

Part Number: BQ40Z80EVM-020
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ40Z80

I'm looking to prototype/evaluate the BQ40Z80 for use with a 6S LiPo battery pack (https://www.genstattu.com/tattu-30000mah-22-2v-25c-6s1p-lipo-battery-pack.html) using the BQ40Z80EVM.

As shown in the LiPo battery pack link, there are two sets of connectors. From these two sets of connectors, there are two possible connections for 6P and 1N:
1. main pack connectors
2. cell balancer connector

Where should I derive the 6P and 1N connection to the EVM (main pack connectors or cell balancer connector)? My intuition tells me it should be the main pack connectors since that's where the current will be flowing. That is,
6P - main power connector
5P - cell balancer connector
4P - cell balancer connector
3P - cell balancer connector
2P - cell balancer connector
1P - cell balancer connector
1N - main power connector

The source of my confusion comes from the BQ40Z80 datasheet. Can you help me rephrase this for easier understanding?
9.2.2.2.3 Lithium-Ion Cell Connections
The important part about the cell connections is that high current flows through the top and bottom connections;
therefore, the voltage sense leads at these points must be made with a Kelvin connection to avoid any errors
due to a drop in the high-current copper trace. The location marked 6P indicates the Kelvin connection of the
most positive directly measured battery node. The single-point connection at 1N to the low-current ground is
needed to avoid an undesired voltage drop through long traces while the gas gauge is measuring the bottom cell
voltage.
