Looking for Buck solution with both CC+CV mode control

Hello Ben,

Can you define CC and CV ?

I do not think we have this feature in our portfolio.

Is it a safety feature? Can you also tell us what application would use this ?

CC is constant current control; CV is constant voltage control.

I find an app note to implement this feature. But have to add external circuit, our goal is to find an integrated solution.

If you want to have a device that both monitor current and voltage DCS control device should be your pick.

Hi Dorian,

Our goal is keep output current in the maximum value. For this application, regulator work in constant voltage mode when normal and switch to constant current control in over current.

I have looked into TPS6213x(DCS), the OCP behavior is turn-off high side FET. According to the OCP behavior,  device cannot implement this application.

The close one I found is buck LED driver solution for this application.

I have shared the application note  about CV mode buck + extra CC mode control circuit with customer.

They are checking the spec to see if this app note meet their requirement.
