TPS2H160-Q1: DCDC selection for powering TPS2H160

Part Number: TPS2H160-Q1

Hi team,

Could you please confirm if a DCDC with 12V 1.5A output is enough to power TPS2H160?

TPS2H160 is used to open or close the relay when needed. In my understanding TPS2H160 only need transient high current and a big cap can withstand it. Appreciate if you can give some analysis on it.

Thanks a lot.

  • Hi Chen Jiao,

The Vvs supply pin for our devices would work under specifications with a supply of 12V. The range for the input voltage for the device is from 4 to 40V. TPS2H160 has a nominal DC current of 2.5A, therefore, 1.5A operating condition is not an issue here. My only recommendation here would be to ensure that your supply is able to handle your load condition. Let us know if this solves your questions.

    Best regards,
