Dear TI technical support,

I am wondering that how to reset BQ34Z100 chip by using bqstudio and EV2400. After successfully identify battery chemistry, I got some confusion because parameter (SOC, remaining capacity...) still do not match to battery specification and my intuitive observation. Could you let me know:

#1, How to reset BQ34Z100 to default factory setting?

#2, if the parameters read from bqstudio still are incorrect, what should I do next after doing CHEMID process?

Hi Cuong Dao,

In BQStudio, go to Data Memory and click on the arrow next to Import. Select Import Defaults and then do a Write All.

Thank you very much for your support.

Actually, I did follow your instruction but there is some error: "parameter not written. Class name Gas Gauging, Subclass name State, Parameter name... status was written to data memory. A readback verification of this parameter failed." Please advise.

Hi Cuong Dao,

After you run Import Default and Write_All, could you run Read All and let me know if the values change from the default?

Dear Jessica,

After run as your instruction, I see some red highligh, as for " number of series cell" I changed as follow my battery pack cell number but ater import default and write_all, parameters do not change.

I would dump out the before and after gg.csv files so we are sure what is going on. Can you provide that?

Can you change terminate voltage to 4000 mV and try to program into the EVM using bqStudio?
