WEBENCH® Tools/TPS65131: New Simulation tools or models?

Part Number: TPS65131
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

I've been using the TPS65131 in a design for a while, and have relied on the old Flash-based Webench Power Designer to perform initial simulations for the device. I'm about to design this into a new product, but the new Webench tools don't provide the same capability for the TPS65131. Instead, it only solves for the positive output instead of both. Neither TINA-TI or the TI-Specific PSpice have a model for the TPS65131. How would I go about simulating this design now? Will there be models in your spice offerings or expansions to Webench coming soon to enable this previously-provided feature?

  • Hello Joe,

Unfortunately, there are no webench/Tina models available for TPS65131 and there are no firm plans of when something may become available. There is enough information in the datasheet to design your schematics and I would suggest to use that for your design. Typical application schematics in the datasheet is a good starting point and if you have any specific questions about your design, please feel free to ask on e2e and I or someone else will be able to help.

    Kind Regards,

    Liaqat
