Dear Team,

UCC12040 set SEL shorted to VISO as 5V output mode.

When input 4.5< vin <5, the Vo should also be regulate at 5V right?

Yes, the recommended input range is 4.5V<VINP<5.5V. The VISO output of UCC12040 and UCC12050 is user selectable by pin strapping the SEL pin according to the diagram (Fig 28) below.

There are four possibilities for the SEL pin connection according to table 2 below. Your choice of shorting SEL to VISO (RSEL=0) will results in VISO=5 V:
