I want to design a SEPIC power supply using TPS61170.

Currently, Webench does not support SEPIC design.

When do you plan to add Webench support for SEPIC for TPS61170 ?

I am willing to provided feedback, as I want a power supply with Vin range 5V to 35V and Vout in range of 9V, 12V, 21V and 25V and/or DAC controlled.

Hi Ivan:

You can use the TINA or PSpice for that. We have the TPS61170 model online.

Hello Minqiu,

can you provide me with TPS61170 Reference design for SEPIC, either TINA or PSpice, please?

The link for SLVM230.TSC (416 KB) - TINA-TI Reference Design provides only schematics for TPS61170 Boost Converter.

As TI sells TPS61170EVM-316 evaluation board for TPS61170 in SEPIC mode, I would appreciate if I can get those files.

I can provide you with product details, NDA,etc., if necessary.

What is your Vin/Vo and Io?

Hello Helen,

the part is TPS61170, Vin is <6V, 12V>.

Vout = <9, 25V>

Note that Vout1 = 9V, Vout2 = 12V, Vout3 = 21V, Vout4 = 25V.

The best would be to have a design which can be set to Vo between 9V and 25 by means of an DAC convertor.

That is why I suggested you send me reference design for SEPIC so that I can try various resistors in feedback and set the voltage by DAC.

Io current is 0.1A (max 0.15A).

Q1/Q2/Q3 open: Vo=9V

Q1 close: Vo=12V

Q1/Q2 close: Vo=21V;

Q1/Q2/Q3 close: Vo=25V .
