Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM61440
My circuit functions as expected --> 6V to 30V in, 5.2V out at 15 watts. However, the switching transients are about 1 volt peak to peak. Any suggestions. I used the Webench schematic and BOM.

Hi Eric,
Please send the schematic and a completed quickstart calculator file https://www.ti.com/tool/LM315XQUICK-CALC
You may need to increase the output capacitance depending on the load step and its di/dt. Note that we also have converters (with integrated FETs) for this input voltage range and output current, e.g. LM61440.

Tim
Just to confirm, when you mention " switching transients", are you referring to steady state output ripple or load transient response? A 5.2V/3A output generally needs at least one 47uF/10V/X7R capacitor.
