UCC27523: UCC Prefix Meaning

Hello,

I did some datasheet analysis on the gate driver UCC2752x and compared it to others with the same prefix (UCCx). I am not sure what the prefix UCC means. Is this a part family?

Hi, Michael,

It is a broad generalization of gate drivers at TI. Each group at TI may have a unique prefix for their products.

It originated with Unitrode Corporation which we acquired a number of years ago. We kept using that prefix.
