TPS1663: TPS1663 datasheet spec question

Part Number: TPS1663

Hi team,

Regarding TPS16630RGER Efuse, as shown in the figure below, customer are asking:
Question 1. What is the time interval between SHDN valid and Efuse start to output? Please give the Min, Typ and Max values of the delay time
Question 2. What is the time interval between Efuse rising to Vin and PG signal valid in ms? Please give the Min, Typ and Max values of the delay time

do we have these detail spec?

  • Hi Zhang,

Question 1. What is the time interval between SHDN valid and Efuse start to output?

It is same as "UVLO switch turnon delay". The typical value (us) is 742 + 49.5 x C(dVdT) where C(dVdT) is in nF. We don't have min and max values for this parameter.

Question 2. What is the time interval between Efuse rising to Vin and PG signal valid in ms?

It is tPGOODR parameter in the EC table. min = 8ms, typ = 11.5ms, max =13ms

    Best Regards, Rakesh

  • Hi Rakesh,

    thanks! and still 2 question:

Why are there no minimum and maximum values defined for our product line?

Can the range be given by means of simulation?

  • Hi Zhang,

We have not been asked for those details by any customer so we have not characterized the parameter for min, max values.

Can you let us know why it is important for the customer ?

    Best Regards, Rakesh

  • Hi Rakesh,

our customer SRC is using this in their system. and they need to confirm the delay time in their usage.

If we don't have the specific time for item1. could BU offer a conservative spec on this (don't need exact range just a conservative number)? they just need a range which they can set the delay time within this max and min spec.

  • Hi Zhang,

I will check with the team and let you know. Please allow time till mid of next week.

    Best Regards, Rakesh

  • Hi Rakesh,

Thanks, customer just need a conservative spec. And they said they need it Monday next week.

Could you give a spec(ensure system can work normally in this range is enough ) Monday next week?

  • Hi Zhang,

    OK. Let me check.

    Best Regards, Rakesh

  • Hi Zhang,

The typical value of "UVLO switch turnon delay" in us is 742 + 49.5 x C(dVdT) where C(dVdT) is in nF.

From simulations, the min value of "UVLO switch turnon delay" in us is 570 + 49.5 x C(dVdT)  and the max value of "UVLO switch turnon delay" in us is 930 + 49.5 x C(dVdT)

    Best Regards, Rakesh
