LP5012: 3 bug current RGB LED

Part Number: LP5012

Dear Sir/Ms.

My customer would like to ask a few questions if using this LED driver, thank you
1. Is the connection method as follows to use in parallel?
OUT0~3RLED
OUT4~7GLED
OUT8~11BLED
I find it strange that the client provides such a setting.
2. Does the method of using Sequential & Continue have any effect?
3. Bank Control is mentioned in the specification, is it a Sequential?
Because there is a designated Bank number.
The customer's ultimate goal is to increase the drive current of the LED, his RGB LED only has R *1, G*1, B*1. Can you guide me how to set the output channels in parallel?

Best Regards,

Kami Huang

  • Hi Kami,

    For Q1:

It can be set to connect as you shows.

    For Q2:

it is both OK either using Sequential or continue method.

    For Q3:

could you please provide more information about the customer's request? how much RGB LED do they want to control? which function do they want to operate? what are the lighting mode of each RGB LED?

in addition, did R LED/G LED/B LED are integrated in one RGB LED?

    Best Regard
