REF5010: Noise Performance

Part Number: REF5010

Hi Team, we are looking for the "voltage noise for each member of the REF50xx family" on the datasheet.

Hoping for your inputs.

Thank you.

Regards,

Mark Felipe

  • Hi Mark Felipe,

We specify the low frequency voltage noise in the data sheet.

This is defined as "Output voltage noise" which is "3uVpp/V". So for 10V, the output low frequency noise is 30uVpp.

  • Hi Marcoo Z,

Thank you for your answer, but unfortunately I am interrested in the wide-band noise in the reange say 50Hz to 500kHz.

Do you know if the Pspice model of the REF5010 has a correct representation of the BW noise ?

Does the model includie the effect of the capacitance connected between the terminal "NR"(pin 5.) and GND ?

In case that the Pspice-model does provide for a correct simulation of the WB-noise, someone at TI must know what the specifications really are !

    Best regards

    Ole

  • Hi Ole,

The REF50 family of spice model has accurate wide band noise. Yes it does include the effect of the capacitor on pin 5.

  • Hi Marcoo,

Thanks lot for for your answer, it really makes sense !

However, considering the WB-noise, it is still strange that it is not in the datasheet, but is present in the spice-model.

This is upside-down the normal situation, where capabilities from the datasheet is omitted i the spice-model !

I will take a further look at Pspice, and use that possibility to obtain the figures need for my design!

    Thanks for your help.

    Best regards

    Ole.
