LMQ61460: Inductor saturation current

Hi Team,

The saturation current of the MAPI4020HT inductor stated at Table 10-5 of the datasheet is 6.6A while the IL-HS is in the range of 8.9A to 11.5A. Is the MAPI4020HT enough to provide 3.3V/6A or 5V/6A?

    Hi Danilo,

    Are you perhaps referring to Table 9-5? That 1.5uH MAPI inductor is used as an input filter to the LMQ61460. I don't expect the input current to get anywhere close to 6A for this to be of concern. 

    The recommended output power inductor is 5.25uH and the next standard value is 4.7uH as described in Section 9.2.2.3 which is used in the LMQ61460EVM.
