BQ25895: enter shipmode with delay

Hi,

we've enabled BATFET_DLY, and then set BATFET_DIS=1.

1. If we plug in the adaptor before the 10s delay comes, will BATFET_DIS be cleared and then shipmode won't be entered?

2. If we reset BATFET_DIS=0 before the 10s delay comes, will the shipmode be entered?

It is highly recommended to get familiar with the charger operations by testing the device EVM.

For case 1, our test result is:

BATFET_DIS is cleared and then shipmode won't be entered with BQ25895.

But with BQ21120,

the test result is:

BATFET_DIS is not cleared and then shipmode is entered.

I want to assure that these 2 devices are really behaving differently. Why do we have different logic for these 2 device.

Hi,

The two devices are designed by independent design teams. The architectures and design logics can be different.
