Dear all,

I can't update chemistry ID on my evaluation board.

I sent the Unseal command and then moved to chemistry table, selected one element and pressed "Program selected chemistry".

I always get the message "Succesfully programmed chemistry. The target bqz container is old and needs to be updated". Unfortunately the parameter is not updated in Configuration table (I'm trying to set a Lead-Acid battery and in configuration I still see LION) and I don't know how to do.

bqStudio version is 1.3.86

Chemistry version 840

How can I solve it?

Unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem.

Even with version 1.3.101 (chemistry still 840) I get the same message.

Sorry but I can't understand what do you mean with "EVM's"

I tried different chemisty entries and I always get the same error message.

I tried your suggestion and actually the ID seems correct!

Unfortunately the "Device chemistry" parameter in "Data Memory" is still "LION" and not "LEAD ACID" as expected.

Is that correct?

Hello Massimo,

That is good. The chemistry data has been programmed successfully. As far as i know the "Device Chemistry" parameter must be updated manually through the Data memory tab and is a simple string for identification of battery type by the system, limited to 4 characters, The datasheet refers to lead acid as PbA .
