TPS25947: Question for Itimer and Ilim

Hello expert,

I have question for TPS25947's Itimer and Ilim.

First, can I configure Itimer as longer than 30ms?
Also could you provide recommended capacitor value for achieving 30ms Itimer including variation from TPS25947?

Second, could I configure Ilim lower than 0.5A?
Datasheet said this device can be configure Ilim as 0.5A~6A with 10% accuracy.
I though it mean that this device can be configure Ilim as lower than 0.5A but cannot guaranty accuracy.
Is it correct?
I understood it is difficult to provide accuracy for Ilim lower than 0.5A setting but could you provide accuracy information for Ilim lower than 0.5A as just information?

    Yes you can set Timer as long as 30 ms. The timer cap value can be calculated from the below equation.  

    where, 

    tITIMER = Required Timer Duration

    ΔVITIMER = 1.5 V

    IITIMER = 1.8 µA

    Your understanding is correct. Below 0.5 A current limit setting the device may still limit current but the accuracy cannot be guaranteed. We have not tested the device below 0.5A and hence we do not have any idea / information about the possible current limit accuracy.

    I understood we can choose capacitor following datasheet's formula.

    However, ΔVITIMER and IITIMER only have typical value on datasheet.
    We'd like know about min/Max of these parameter.
    I know you are difficult to provide it if we require to provide guaranteed value.
    Therefore could you provide these info as just information?

    Also, is there any capacitance limitation on CITIMER?
    This is because, we need to use too larger capacitor than typical application circuit for achieving 30ms wait time.

    • The min and max values of the ΔVITIMER and IITIMER will be updated in the datasheet during the time of RTM.
    • There is no capacitance limitation on CITIMER.
