customer needs following configuration but seems it's not possible to do this with webench
I tried to optimize the LMR23610 Design with Webench Power Designer. Unfortunatelly I found out that it is not possible to use this device with sync frequencies higher than 400kHz.
According to data sheet the inductor should be calculated with a K_ind of 30 to 50%. In Webench values between 0 and 200% can be choosen. What is the 100% value? Is it the maximum current? In Webench I didn't get any difference between 100 and 200%.
I want to use the DC/DC with the following parameters:
- Vout = 5.0V
- Vin = 5.7 to 18V
- Iout = 0.5A
- Ambient Temperature -40°C...+85°C
- Cout: 4x10µF
- Lout: 1x15µH; 834mOhm DCR
The values of the output capacitor and inductor are smaller than in Webench recommendation. Please check if the device can be safely operated with this values or which limitations are attached to it.
