Part Number: BQ25792
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25790,
Hello,
Must be obvious, but I couldn't see the difference between bq25790 and bq25792 just by reading both datasheets.
Can someone explain?
Thank you.
Regards.
Matt

Hi Matt,
The main difference is the package. 790 is in WCSP and 792 is in QFN. 792 does not have BATN battery ground sense pin or the IBAT current reporting pin. Also, the default VACOVP is 7V for 790 but is 26V default for 792.

Jeff
Hello Jeff,
Thank you for your answer, valuable as one has to really dig into the DS to get to those points.
I also noticed a /PowerGood indicator in the 792 DS (STAT, INT) not mentioned in 790 DS.
Thanks again.
Regards.
Matthieu
