PTH04000WAH

It has come to my attention that we have product that is applying 6.0VDC to the input of three PTH04000WAH converters.  The respective output voltages of each is 1.2, 2.5, and 3.3V.  The current levels are less than 0.250A.

The listed recommended range of input voltages for the PTH04000WAH converters is 3V to 5.5VDC.  Does anybody know what the ramifications of applying 6.0 V to the inputs of these devices.

We have been through quite a lot of testing on this product line over temperature and have not had any fail to date.

Thanks,

Glen

  • The PTH04000WAx has a maximum input voltage of 5.5V. The ripple voltage on the input can increase the Vin to about 5.8V . The 5.5V limit is based upon the average ripple plus DC voltage .

The module can be voltage overstressed if the DC 5.5V is exceeded.
