TPS62866: Question for TPS62866 recommended junction temperature when lifetime is reduced for long time operation

Part Number: TPS62866

Hi Team,

From TPS62866's datasheet, we claimed that for recommended operating conditions, the recommended junction temperature should be no more than 85C for 6A operating continuously, but our customer also wants to know what's the junction temperature recommended if they operated continuously at 4A for this part, as they will do the reliable design for their product.

Customer's use case and estimated junction temperature are as below, please also help to evaluate the risk for long time reliability for our device:

1. Input 3.3V, output 0.94V/3.5A or 1.1V/3.5A. The efficiency using 80%, PCB thermal resistance using ΨJB 23.3C/W, board temperature is 80C 1mm close to IC, calculated TJ is around 99C/102C. Not sure if this TJ is OK for our device long time reliability, kindly help to check it.

Thanks.
