BQ76930: Boot Detector Range

Part Number: BQ76930

Hi team,

In bq76930 datasheet boot detector section, it says "Below MIN, device will not boot up. Above MAX, device will be guaranteed to boot up" for Vboot and Tboot_max. What happens between those MIN and MAX values? Will the device boot up if a voltage higher than 300mV lower than 1000mV and longer than 10us shorter than 1000us is applied?

  • Hi Abraham,

A part will have tolerance on its voltage threshold and response time due to manufacturing differences and environmental conditions.  For example a part might boot up with a change from 300 mV to 500 mV  but later with different conditions need a change past 700 mV. Similarly some parts or with certain conditions 20 us might be sufficient to recognize the rising edge while with a different part or different conditions it may require the signal remain high 1000 us after the edge.
