LMR50410-Q1: Maximum Input current limit

Hi Team, 

Good day, can you please confirm what is the Maximum Input current limit of LMR50410-Q1. The customer plans to use it as converter from 28V solar panel to a 5V output to power sensing circuit.

    Hello Maynard,

    TI does not specify a Maximum input current limit for this device, however the High-side current limit (ISC) specified in the Electrical Characteristics table does specify the amount of current through the high side MOSFET that will cause the device over current protection feature to be tripped. (1.6A typical)

    This essentially serves as the maximum allowed input current to the device.
