LM5176-Q1: Slew rate requirements on the power supply input or enable

Part Number: LM5176-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5176

Hello Team,

My customer would like to know if there is any slew rate requirements on the power supply input or enable/inhibit inputs. Because he think some ICs would be required a fast slew rate to enable their ESD protection circuitry. Please help to comment on my customer's question.

Best regards,
DY

  • Hello DY,

I am not aware of any slew rate requirements on this device, but if the customer is interested on details of the ESD structure, I need to check it for details.

So please help to understand the customer needs more in detail.

  • Hello Brigitte,

Thank you for the quick response.

My customer want to know if there is any limitations on the slew rate of the power supply input or enable because he worry if the LM5176 can cause any abnormal operation due to any slew rate requirements ot limitations of LM5176-Q1.

    Best regards,
    DY

  • Hello DY,

In general if the customer has added the right amount of input capacitance, the input voltage slew rate should not cause any issue.

Would you please ask which slew rates are expected in his system on the pins he expects issues with?

And please name the pin names of the pins the customer is interested in.
