In the datasheet, it mentioned that the V(ESD) is 3000V,max for HBM. It is +/- 3KV, or only +3KV. i have a little confused on it. Thanks.

Hi Brian,
The ESD and HBM for new LDOs are normally qualified at both positive and negative voltages, but this one has only specified the positive side. Plese allow 2 business days for me to investigate this for you.

We were able to confirm with the reliability engineering team that the LM317L ESD ratings were qualified using positive and negative voltage strikes which is aligned with the JEDEC standard.
